Back to the days when I was taking kids to horse shows… one weekend there were a bunch of them. They all knew how to do everything, including load the truck, the tack and load their own horses. My son was one of them. He was gonna show his quarter horse, Gus for his first time. The phone rang as we were getting everything loaded up and I ran to the house to answer it while the kids finished and we were running late so I ran out and we all jumped up in the truck and headed down the road, I pulled up into the parking lot. Told the kids get the horses out and and ready for their first class as I ran up to the announcers booth to call the signatures and sign everybody up they opened the gate for the first class which my son was in and I was ringside with my camera watching and waiting and waiting and waiting he didn’t show up so I trotted out to the parking lot. My truck was there my trailer was there the kids were there. Somebody forgot to load the horses.
Now, I have to admit something I had an old pick up truck. I had a new transmission put in that week and on the way to the show grounds I was actually thinking to myself,
“man this truck is really pulling good!. Like I’m not even pulling a trailer up this hill.”
I was close.

Haven’t popped in in awhile. Pain has been pretty overwhelming and I just couldn’t even begin to have a conversation. Add to that my anxiety over Cody’s life and it’s a poison cocktail.
I was hoping to use the deep tub tonight but , once again there was a monstrous s-der in it and I was too horrified to even think about getting in. I’m terrified one will drop in while I’m trapped in there 😰

I am hoping to heavily caulk the windows and grow a bunch of mint to see if it keeps them out.

Boone has been a little depressed lately. I think Gizmo’s constant attention to me is the source. I did make a special effort to play “find it” with him and that cheered him up substantially. It’s getting hard though, as he is so good at finding things it’s not much of a challenge in this tiny house. I might start using ALL the rooms so he will have to work harder. I even hid a little softy inside on of Randy’s boots, under the end table. No challenge for him! We’ll figure it out. I wish he could still travel. His world is just too small, in this house and yard.
