I bee bopped around in the back yard yesterday. Got round horse trough (that leaks) in place to put in annual herbs for my kitchen garden. The previously mentioned perennial ones are in the other troughs-thyme, oregano, parsley , chives, green onions, rosemary and comfrey. The honeysuckle I ordered won’t get here until after my surgery and it’s hard to not get excited about planting it and seeing the archway covered.
Tom was supposed to mow the lawn today. It’s hard to pick up dog poop as the grass is so long. I have written it in big letters on both doors to the kitchen so it can’t be missed several days ago. I have brought it up with Randy multiple times. I would happily do it myself but I can’t start the mower, because instead of fixing it right, they jerry-rigged it so only they can get it to run. It was sunny this morning. Now it’s clouding up. I think he’s putting it off until it rains so he won’t have to do it
I took the shade cloth that was damaged from my cattle panel green house and cut it to make a small one for my handful of seedlings I started. I can start tomatoes pretty soon and put them in there as well.
I just wish I could get more cooperation frim the men around here. I can’t do everything by myself anymore.

With the exception of the slackers that all sounds wonderful. You sure seem to be feeling a little better

I put a 4lb beef sirloin tip roast un the sous vide. (It’s a water bath that stays at a fixed temp. The meat goes in a leak proof bag in water so can never over cook. Comes out perfect, whether it’s in there for 10 hr or 24 hours!) A perfect med rare, and I put it through the slicer really thin. Superb roast beast sammich potential!! That’s what I plan for dinner tomorrow night. I have kaiser rolls and am going to make a mild horseradish sauce to go on the buns. That and do the last 2 jars of french fries.
Going into Burns tomorrow so it’ll be an easy fix.

Muscovy duck breast is supposed to be real good in a sous vide. Never tried it, my dog Trip killed and ate my muscovies without the sous vide and I didn't have a sous vide anyway....... bad dog.
