O.k. As some of you may know my goats just got done with their meds for having parasites and coccidia. They took Panacur for 3 days and Albon 500 mg for 5 days. Last dose was taken on Tuesday. Is it o.k. To give them both pig iron and copasure at the same time??? Also if they take the copasure do I still give the loose minerals? I would imagine so but do not want to have an overdose episode.

yes you can give them at the same time. Pig iron is injectable and the copasure is given orally.
I would only give the pig iron if they are anemic looking. Should be given with B-complex shots to help with absorption.

And yes, we give copasure and put out loose minerals.

Ok so I'll save the pig iron and b complex for another time. Does it keep well? You have been such a HUGE help to me. Thank you so much!

yes, it keeps well. I am sure there are dates on the bottles, we keep ours in the basement where it stays out of light and stays at a steady temp. If the goat has been doing poorly, giving B-complex is always a good idea. Iron is another story . It is more likely be overdosed. You can't overdose b-complex. It is like Vitamin C and they just pee out the part they don't use.
