We are clearing some space for new pigs to have pasture. It was mostly young pine (less than 4") that a previous owner let overthrow... but there is some Sweetgum mixed in. We would like to leave a few tall trees for shade.

Will/Should the pigs eat the gumballs that fall? I've read that goats love it, and pigs eat everything... So maybe the right word is "should"....

I don't know if pigs will eat sweetgum balls or not. But if they do, they do. If they don't, they don't. If you want to leave a few for shade, then do so. The green sweetgum balls make flu medicine.

Well I sure have these trees!! Don't mess with them tho.🤨. I have a real good supply of elderberry.

More interested in my beauty berry shrubs and insect control from those leaves.
