Is this pink eye? Is so, it’s my first case of it, just wanting confirmation that it is

Does not show the typical pinkeye symptoms. The thick discharge could have been from an irritant in the eye that the body worked out overnight.
Pinkeye is more of a watery runny out of the eye on the face... the eye will look a little cloudy and they will blink and try to keep it closed. Also some will get jerky head motions from the cloudiness covering the eye and losing some sight. It comes on fairly fast... and will get bad REAL quick.
I would watch that for a day or 2 but honestly does not show the typical pinkeye effects. Wipe it off and then see if more forms... but if the eye does not get the cloudiness in a day or 2 then it is not pinkeye.
