Preferred tattoo method?

Does anyone have recommendations on tattoos? I like the way the "gun" looks compared to the "stamp" ones. But i have no idea on price or what is actually best for our needs. I would love some opinions on the different types. And then comes the size. We have silver foxes so there ears a pretty big. Also where to get one for a good price. I looked on eBay but the prices are all over the place.

Pens are ALL just a power toothbrush that was modified.
I had one, EquaTat & then the second one. Work great.
Practice on Apple's & bananas. In the ear, you'll want to go over it a few times to get really dark, clear, long lasting tattoo.

I got a kbtattoo pen. Really love it vs the clamp. It's very reasonablely priced. BUT it broke last time I used it... I glued it back together, still need to finish those buns again...
