P-ewe had a beautiful lamb. I love lamb zoomies. they all run like there is a bear after them, then stop. Look around and take off again, and they do it over and over and over.

My Katahdins wiggle their tail when they poop. They raise it up and wiggle it side to side.

Sweet Eugenie lambed ram/ewe twins all by herself at 5am. Big babies too! Both are over 8lbs.

Since I already had the scale out, I weighed Afterthought and she’s almost 6lbs. Up from 4.2, I feel like that’s a good increase in 5 days. She eats from her mom, the bucket, and is a master snitch.

Lizzie lambed just after 4p. Single white ram lamb. He is a massive 9.7lb, just 0.1lb less than P-Ewe’s boy.

It’s a much bigger deal for Lizzie to have such a big baby because she’s not a big ewe. Her mom was Patti who was a petite ewe. Lizzie was a bottle lamb that almost died from White Muscle Disease when she was a few days old so she never reached her full growth potential.

I was given unsolicited “advice” that Lizzie would die if I ever bred her, but I used my knowledge of my own sheep to make my decisions and bred her anyway. She’s only been bred to a Shetland, the idea being that the lambs would be smaller. Nope, her first lamb last year was only a little bit smaller than this one. And she’s a great mom despite being brought up by me instead of a sheep.

Since Freyja’s boys and Imogen’s triplets are doing well and the boys and Afterthought have the bucket figured out, I finally let them out of the maternity ward.

I’m down to the last few ewes and they’re dragging it out so I’ve taken the maternity ward down. I needed the feeder space back.

The creep is now in part of the old maternity ward and I have a big jug set up. I have Edith in it right now. Her due date is 4/16, but her udder really filled up on Sunday and she’s a sneaky bugger and would probably hide her baby on me.

My ever-present shoulder pain has been flared up really badly lately. It starts in my shoulder and radiates up into my neck/jaw and down into my elbow, wrist, and hand. It’s been suggested by various medical people that it could be tendinitis, something with the nerves, or potentially a torn rotator cuff.

I had a work-related/required health screening today. It was super basic blood pressure, listen to heart/lungs, etc…but I also needed to do an eye test to make sure I’m (still) not colorblind as well as have my yearly fit test for the N95 mask. I warned them when I walked in that my BP was likely to be abnormally high because I was in a huge amount of pain and sure enough, it was. The nurse practitioner took a look at my shoulder and told me that she thinks it’s probably my rotator cuff and told me that I needed to actually get it looked at.

I got a last minute appointment at my PCP’s office this afternoon (with a new NP) and she gave me steroids to help reduce the inflammation and is working on getting a MRI scheduled. I had a x-ray of the shoulder last fall so hopefully insurance will just approve the MRI.

I’m really hoping for actionable answers this time. I’m getting tired of the “something’s wrong with me, but everything comes back normal” game.

I hope your shoulder issue gets the attention it needs and the almost certain surgery. My husband had shoulder replacement surgery, his was so bad. One thing about it, when our bodies start wearing out, the hospital has spare parts!  You are working in the right place!

More seriously, it is so frustrating when you KNOW there is a problem, yet you can't get anything done about it. Modern medicine has come so far but sometimes it seems like the medical profession is still waiting on electricity to be invented. On the other hand, modern medicine works near miracles, making the impossible happen. :love I hope you can get the surgery you need and it fixes the problem so you can get relief from the pain.
