Ok. Disaster struck. Anybody heard of Q fever? Well it is a very nasty bacteria that you can catch when delivering baby goats. It is caused by a bacteria called coxiella burnetii. The symptoms similar to a very bad case of the flu. It is treated with doxycycline. I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO doxycycline.
After Evelyn had her adorable twins, a couple days later, March 1st, Margaret and Oreo had kids exactly one minute apart. Margaret had twins. A buckling and a doeling. Oreo had a doeling. On March 3rd, I think, Orcha finally had her kid but had alot of trouble because the baby was so big and she has back problems from a dog attack when she was young. I helped her deliver. I had to put her on the milk stand to get her to nurse the baby.
My land lady's dog snatched the kid by the head and tried to run with it. I managed to pull the kid away and drive the dog off. I put the Mama and baby in a secure pen with hay and water and went into my house.
Four hours later I was sick. The next day, I could not get out of bed. Five days later, I finally was able to go out and feed my goats.
I put the Mama in with the herd and went back to bed. The landlady 's dog managed to snatch the new kid's foot and drag it under the fence and kill it within five minutes of me going into my house.
I was still too sick to milk so I had to let poor Orca dry out the hard way. It took three weeks for me to recover.
The dog, in the meantime, is no longer on the property. He is suspected of killing calves, cats and chickens in the neighborhood.

Wow - you've really gone through some stuff...so sorry you had to deal with all of that. Hope you feel better and glad the dog isn't around anymore.

Oh wait, Mary had twins on March 3. Then a few days later, Orca had her baby. Anyway, here are all the kids.
First is one of Mary's twins, Hanz.
This is the second of Mary's twins, Franz and one of Margaret's twins, Ville.
This is the other of Margaret's twins, Russell.
This is one of Evelyn's twins, Dardan
This is Evelyn's other twin, Elle.
Next up is Almond Spice 's doeling, Hope.
And last, but not least, is Oreo's doeling, Tinkerbell.
