Hey guys! Questions for ya'll.
I've been feeding my goats Blue Seal Hay Stretcher as a supplemental snack (and for things like please-god-stand-while-I-trim-your-hooves) for years now. Goat friends seemed to agree it was an appropriate addition and my goats LOVE it. I JUST noticed, however, that the label specifies it's for horses "and other non-ruminants." Any insight? I can't figure out why this would be.
Unrelated but... does anyone attempt to find non-GMO products for their creatures? Any luck?! It's easy enough to find ($$$) organic chicken pellets, but I'm stumped when it comes to goats. I currently feed a blend of barley, oats, and BOSS to the milkers which I'm happy with, but I also usually add hay stretcher and/or alfalfa pellets, both produced with GMO crops. If anyone else has been digging around out there in the non-GMO world, I'd be curious to hear what you've found.
