Questionable Buck Behavior

Hey,

I have a ND buck that insists on rubbing on me, specifically my calves, if that makes a difference. He is very determined and he hurts me. Is he just trying to be sweet? Or is he trying to exert his dominance over me? We purchased him as an adult. suggestions for stopping this behavior? He’s bigger now.

I would pinch his ears everytime he does that! That is a sign of domincance. You need to stop that!

Ozzy my wether was doing that too. All I did was nudge him with my knee and walk away. Goats love rubbing on things and I guess we were/are a good thing to rub against. My friend told me to get the big scrub brushes and screw them to the fence in a row for something to scratch their sides. I keep forgetting to get some from the dollar store though.

A water gun works well.
I wouldn't let him plus later when he in a rut yuck no thanks. I have large goats so the bucks don't get an inch.
