Rabbits not mating

My mature Rabbits are not mating
. Running around eachother only.
Female : 2 years old (mother)
Male: 1 year. (Son)

How to make them mate.

They stay together in one cage

If they are mother and son they will most likely not mate. If they do their will be birth defects.

Yeah they probably will not mate if one gave birth to another. Misscarages and birth defects will happen.
