He wasn't that old - his daughter was just starting college. Wonder where he is.

@Baymule - you can be my poster if I die. DH has no clue how to get into this site, and although he sometimes reads the posts it would not occur to him that I have friends on here who might want to know. Our children think we don't have any friends anyway so they won't try to notify anyone. LOL

Now I am wondering if I should go back and download all my posts and print them off for my children for posterity.:lol::lol::clap:clap:clap

It does look rather concerning. Bruce had been active on BYC long after he stopped posting here. But I just checked, and he hasn’t been on BYC since November.

I didn’t look at his latest posts. Maybe he mentioned something in them.

Was it his health that was bad or his wife? Or maybe a daughter? I remember he had a vegan daughter. I think his wife might have still been working.

I don't mind getting old (rather I accept it) the bad part is losing the friends I care about.

Today i turned out the 3x broken leg yearling. Her healing period is done. Unfortunately she's got a huge knot over the break (breaking one leg twice will do that). I remember from the x ray that her toe bones looked rotated forward in her hooves. They didn't look off then, but they certainly do now that the hoof has grown out, probably from all the swelling. Founder, i guess. I trimmed her even with the growth lines today but I'm going to give her more time running around to see how she uses it then come up with a plan for trimming her. Dirt bag teenager. It's really frustrating the way she's treated herself. We'll have to see what we can do, i guess.

The saanen yearling out on pasture on the other hand has really nice feet, which is a weird thing to find myself saying the way saanen feet usually are. She also has incredibly good stand manners and is very mild tempered. I hope they're all like her.
