Mini Horses
Herd Master
Exactly!! Cameras....get with it. I used them constantly when breeding minis -- they had an small device on their halter, under jaw. When they laid out (as most do when foaling) the device made my alarm buzz. I could look at a monitor and see if pushing or just sleeping. Sure saved me worrying and steps. If in labor, I'll grab my jeans laying by the bed and head on out.Beginning to miss my old barn and lambing facility. Only 25' across the driveway to look through a window and check on lambing progress. Now ....
Get cameras, at least you can check on them every time you wake all night long

I stand in mud and collect rain in my clothing.
DH and I both shrieked a him for doing that since we didn't want Doofus to know anything about it. Doofus is always talking about shooting stuff on our property. First he said he would hunt deer. We said NO. Then he said we should get some ducks and put them on the pond so he could shoot them. We said NO. Then he said he would bring clays and do trap shooting over the property. DH told him NO. We don't want clay trap pieces all over the pastures. When he arrived on Thanksgiving he said he could have shot a turkey for Thanksgiving for us.
We think he just wants to shoot something to feel big. He'd probably shoot the neighbor's steer and we would have to pay for it! Anyway, DS1 told him that he would never be allowed to hunt on our property. Doofus wanted to know why not since he had "more right" than Leen. DS1 told him that Leen had been hunting and dressing game since he was 6, knew all the rules, had all the permits, used to own a hunting preserve, and is an instructor. I'm afraid it may not be long before Doofus annoys me so much that I go off on him and tell him some home truths.
