Hmm.. I'm not a pedigree guy, and I can't find a good explanantion of NDGA pedigrees online anywhere.

Hopefully a nigi breeder will chime in soon. :)

The *S is just a general dairy thing. Probably could find an explanation on ADGA. I'm not sure what it is though. My goats are registered but I don't show.

His dam had a milking star, and sire's dam or granddam or whatever also had a milking star. It's inherited for bucks. Basically tells you he carries excellent milk production genetics.

Didn't it used to be *B ?? I have never heard of *S.

What I saw in trying to figure it out for the OP suggests that a *S is simply NDGA's nomenclature for what ADGA's would call a *B.

Same thing...different registries.

Near as I can figure, anyhow. :hu
