Apologies in advance. Posting on phone while holding baby goats.
Two weeks ago today I heard screaming from pen & saw wet baby goat alone.
Surprise baby!
Both parents are fainters.
Baby was 2lbs (since had another surprise baby that is 1/2 fainter 1/2 pygmy & she is much bigger!)
Tried to get mom to take her but she just kept bashing her :(
So in house & having bottles.
Was feeding 2 oz 5x a day as she was so small but she scoured.
Got better after day of electrolytes.
Back on milk & starting to scour!
As she's 2 weeks now I have her on 3 oz 4x a day.
She's about 3lbs now.
Never comes off bottle for a break & always wants more!
I wash everything properly.
She nibbles on grass in the yard.
Wont touch starter grain yet.
Ideas?

What are you using for milk ? Are you using doe 's milk from mom, package mix formula or cows milk ?
Did you get colostrum from mom into them ?

Put her on mom a few times first day (hubby held mommas legs off ground so baby could eat). Now on formula. & not a cheap one!
The 1 thing I'm doing different this time is I make a small batch (1/4 of mixing dose on bag) and cool & refrigerate extra. Thin I microwave 2 oz to correct temp at feeding time. With last baby I had I'd heat bottle in cup of hot water but it takes forever!
She's generally happy, pees a lot! Is just small, thin & hungry.
Edited to add replacer is manna pro with pro biotics.

I have used formula in the past...then this time i used whole cows milk....not any problem at all....try to slowly transition over , add some cows milk to the formula and you should be able to have them on whole cows milk from the grocery store in a few days. I would offer them some cut up hay and not the greens in the yard as much and add some probiotics to the milk ...get that tummy happy .
If the scours are bad, give some pepto To them,
Did doe have her CD&T shot within 30 days of kidding ?
Once you get them poopin normal again, do your CD&T
