We have been crossing standard blue butt sows with pot belly pig to give us a middle size, easy to handle & butcher animal..Our cross bred sow Lucille had 11 pigs July 4th..1 was born dead,but she is doing great with 10..She is a terrific gentle mother ,weighs about 150# & should grow some.. The standard hog has given a long body with better milking ability for larger litters & the size to have meat rather than fat..
I have gilts for sale from this 7/4 litter.. We have some boars for sale from a blue butt/ pbp litter born May 7th..They should make a good difference in size on a standard size gilt.
