I'm moving on to a different chapter in my life, and hope to find new stewards for my heritage breed sheep. I have one proven stud ram, two proven ewes, one yearling ewe who has not yet lambed, one 4-month old ram lamb with good breeding potential, and one affectionate and trustworthy livestock guard donkey.

Nice looking sheep.

What breed are they?

Here on BYH we are all pretty spread out.

For selling you will have better luck on a local Facebook page (but you will have to use code words, since animal selling on Facebook is illegal), on Craigslist, or the bulletin board of your local feed stores.

Thanks!
The breed is Gulf Coast Native, originally derived from pre-merino Spanish sheep and related to the Florida Cracker. I am also going to be using Craigslist and other forums to advertise, but I figure sharing here too won't hurt!

Ringo
Livestock Guard Donkey (gelding)
Free to excellent home
Hates: dogs, farriers, trailers, equine bug spray
Loves: cuddles from humans, eating treats, staying close to herdmates and meeting new hoofed friends.

Ringo is a gentle and dependable LGD whom I trust to supervise even actively lambing sheep. He will politely tolerate riders, but is not trained for riding or cart pulling. He and our ram playfully spar every once in a while, so that each has a wholesome outlet for his boyish energy and their shared herd authority stays balanced
