Straw or Shavings?

Should I use straw or shavings for my goats bedding? Will my goats eat the shavings since they are smaller then straw? (I am using straw right now)

I think it depends most on what you have, and what is most cost effective.

I had shavings a time or 2 with the goats and they never ate them... I love shavings as bedding in the coops....

But I always happened to have slightly soiled hay that worked as bedding.
