Hello
I noticed one of my ewes has a swollen ear that has Edema. No obvious wound or trauma to ear and no other symptoms. Ear looks otherwise healthy no hairloss etc. Ewe is overall well herself. Didn't see it this morning. All other sheep are well. She is on pasture so could have been exposed to a toxic plant. Gave her an nsaid but wasn't sure if anyone had seen this before? Or knows.of anything else I should do or watch for?
Planned to keep her close tomorrow to continue to monitor.
Thanks

Virginia is for Pasture Farmers!
Check/treat for flies.
Not much you can do. Ignore it, other than monitor to make sure worse things don't happen or lance to drain & tape it flat to head to keep it from refilling & wrinkling. It may wrinkle if you do nothing as well.

I have a lamb with swollen ear. Just started this morning. Otherwise she appears well. She did get head stuck in a net fence yesterday so I'm thinking that was it. But the ear feels hot compared to the other one. Thoughts?
