We put our Aussie Sassy down today and I am so glad we were able to do it the way we did. It was still painful watching her pass but the vet agreed that we caught her at the right time. She was losing her balance a lot more in the past couple of weeks due to the bone cancer but she was still strong enough to play tug with Lance. She was completely relaxed during the process.

I'm glad she went peacefully Mike. Even so, it's still a hard thing to do.

There’s nothing like knowing you made the right decision at the right time. It’s still sad, but there is some comfort in knowing you did the kindest thing for her.

Love and hugs to you and Teresa.... she was a sweetheart and so totally devoted to you. It will be hard for Lance as well as both of you. I am glad that you got to find the best time for her to go and she was still "Sassy" to you.

Never easy, but that timing was good.
I've got an old girl (will be 13 on 11/18) and I know her time is short -- sight is poor, movement sketchy, and her sense of smell is dwindling. I know the "watch".

It was a sad day because of Sassy but it turned out to be a good day for sheep as we had a big ram lamb show up today. Red is throwing some nice color.

I’m so sorry about Sassy. Making that decision may be the right thing to do but it sure isn’t the easy thing to do. It took love and strength to let Sassy go. Sassy was a beautiful girl and absolutely insane over playing ball. I know she was your baby.

I am so sorry about your loss that is one of the worst decision to have to make and I am glad you decided not to make her suffer needlessly. I am glad your getting some pretty colored rams. What breed is that?
