The journey into the abyss of no return

Is that the empty lot in town where the town was raising all sorts of crap about you mowing it??
Also what makes this place profitable despite the fight we had is when done the property will be out of the flood zone. The flood zone in this city is doing just that, drowning this city on what you can and cannot build and the value of property. We still can't fill the place in with dirt, $8k later in a survey and now waiting on city council to give us a go ahead we have been waiting seven months to put dirt in.
Corner lot, out of the flood plain requiring no flood insurance, ICF damn near sound proof house a walking distance to downtown. Yeah it's worth a penny when done.
This is just a property in the flood plain, that has gotten approval on what they can build to stay in the flood plain instead of raising it out of the flood plain. This shop they want to build on this link will require vents every 6' along the bottom to allow water to flow through the building "IF" it ever floods.

Met a "general contractor" who is trying to muddle in my business out here. Only 9 years younger than me, but I will refer to him as a kid. This kid has no machinery, no experience hardly in the basics, no computer/electronic skills. Called a grade laser a transient level that he got on the auction block yesterday. I could go on and on, but he doesn't live out here at the same time seems I will be absorbing jobs he gets that is over his head.
Customer wanted rock put in so concrete trucks could come in to pour a slab for a building that the customer wants built. So to get rock to the place I'm the only one that delivers out here, so I brought (5 loads) of rock in, welp need to spread said rock, cheaper to pay me to do it than call a rental out, so I spread the rock. Now we need to clear trees and plants roots and all from building pad, nope that 12 inch chainsaw isn't going to work son, so I reached over for free pulled over and pulled up every tree and shrub up. Now he needs to do a cut/fill job for the pad, oh wait that requires a dozer, better rent one, nope cheaper to pay me to put it in for him and he doesn't know how to work a grade laser, guess I better bring that in with laser receiver to go on my boom. Did you ask the customer or educate them about radon out here and needing a radon system, did you bring up about wildfire breaks, how about utilities, did you pick a spot that makes them easily accessible, did you mention dust coming from the road, how about putting the structure for the best winter sun and how about ..........

How about this, just give me your customer, go sit under that tree as you were doing earlier and just watch me work. Yes there is some jobs he could do, but this over his head. Don't need 110 cu yds of concrete for a 31' x 60' x 6" slab either.

Maybe the kid could apprentice to you.
Nope, he doesn’t listen even when it’s advantageous to him and poor communication skills. Told him I would spread the rock out for free as with I do all my customers. He goes and rents a skid steer that I found out after he was 45 minutes late. Story goes a truck got stuck under over pass so he was 20 minutes waiting for that, so that doesn’t explain the other 25 minutes he was late and could of sent a text saying he is going to be late. Fifteen minutes from a no show/call fee “IF” I rescheduled to deliver again.
Anywho… found after he got there he rented a skid steer to spread it all out for $600, I offered to do the work for $500 since he didn’t listen and did just that for $500 instead of free
