Thinking about getting alpacas

Where is a good place to start researching alpacas? I have plenty of land and a person who wants to get rid of theirs. I currently have two dogs, two cats, a bunch of chickens and guineas, and six kids I need to know what their needs would be as far as food, water, space, what kind of animals they get along with and what they don't like, etc... Any good book or website recommendations?

AlpacaNation would be a good website to go to. I would also suggest CameliDynamics by Marty McGee Bennett for handling. She has a really good book out.
