Hi all,
So here in BC between the wildfires and flooding( yep, been through both and almost ready to give up on homesteading but trying to push through) we didn't breed our ewes at the usual time. I don't want to miss out on lambs this year. Is this too late to breed them, are they still in the heat cycle? Just asking as I have a few I don't want bred and with all the devastation we had it will be a bit of work to separate the ones I want bred from the ones I don't and I don't want to go through the trouble if I already missed the boat.

Do you own your own ram?
That would make things easier.

I never had sheep... I had goats... and I never tried breeding in winter, the cold and snow are enough to deal with...

But... to answer your question... some breeds cycle all year... and some do not...

Can you look up the breed that you have? Is it a year around breeder?
