Transition day

Today we transitioned Magic from a snaffle to a short shanked broken mouth piece. I started Magic at a hard 3, had him going really well, then had to lay off for my problems... went back got him going good and again laid off due to my problems. Been working him lately and he is doing so good decided to start him today with a shank. He did so good, I guess he was ready to move on. We even did a short trail ride with him. Won't be long until I can have him bridled! Yea Magic!

Apearantly I missed something (not hard for me to do!). What is Magic, and why are you transitioning him? LOL, I missed a lot.

He has been working in a gag [in picture]... transiting him towards being bridled.... The first step out of the snaffle is to use a short shank broken mouth piece with a loose chin strip. When it comes time for him to be bridled I'll send him to my girlfriends to have it done correctly.
