Trimming Hoofs

My goats need their hoofs trimmed.. anyone have some advice? I have a hoof pic and the hoof goat trimmers.. how do i secure the goat? Do you need a rasp?

The hoof is just like a finger nail that is in a V. Put a leash on them and a bucket of their favorite feed and clip in a few minutes.
Very easy to clip them with any sheers just like clipping your own nails

I use my milk stand to trim my goats feet. It makes it really easy to do their feet as they are up off the ground and I don't have to lean over so much; especially on my extra tall milk stand. If you don't have a milk stand (sounds like you don't, then tie them to a fence and, as alba said, give them something good to eat (grain or feed - but not too much) and start with one foot. I like the video but I wish they would have actually shown from start to finish on one foot instead of jumping around so much. It's really easy to do if your goat stands relatively still. I don't use a rasp but many people do.
