Truck on a Budget

Hello all. I'm getting a job soon and so then I can save up for a truck. I would love to get a truck that can pull a three horse trailer. But since this would be my first job and only minimum wage until I finish college and can get another job in that field, I can't afford much. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me.

What truck brands are best for pulling horse trailers? What brands to watch out for? And how should I go about this on a budget without credit? My mom is thinking about co-signing.

Not of much help here as I never drove our trailers growing up, but we had a dually Ford they used to haul the 3 horse slant. Don't be scared to buy a truck from an individual, but take someone who knows vehicles to hear it run, test it out.
