Yesterday, I vaccinated everyone for Clostridium C&D and Tetanus. I'll be repeating it in 3 weeks since it will be the first vaccinations for two of my goats and the other two didn't have their booster.

What else should I be considering?

I vaccinate with the pasturella vaccine for pneumonia. This sparks controversy with many as they will say why vaccinate when you can treat pneumonia?
I say, I vaccinate so I don't have to treat pneumonia. For certain things, I like preventive medicine. Certainly no guarantee but it's worked beautifully for me (and my goats!).

Sorry, I forgot this one...

Cornebacterium Pseudotuberculosis Bacterin

The new CAE vaccine for goats. I believe it came out just a few months ago. Also from Jeffers.

All of this depends on how many goats you intend to have and if they are dairy or meat. I just vaccinate for CDT but I have 3 dairy goats. You really have to look at your situation and what problems you see on your farm to determine if any other vaccines are warranted.

--virus will persist in the environment for a while (at least 6 months)
