It’s amazing how those fleeces matted. About 50 percent of the lambs had a Racka coat, usually ewes. The boys however are pretty messy. Nothing to do about it til spring then it’s clipper time. I will have Darian back if possible to shear Twister then give the fleece away since it will be in much better shape than the old one she took off. Her rates are reasonable and she can get him done in a couple of minutes with little stress. Number One Son’s makeover may fall to Darian too. He has the makings of Fleece-zilla like dad. Racka fleece is used for rugs, nothing fine that I know of.

These lambs were sired by Twister’s oldest son who is 1/2 Painted Desert. So 1/4 Racka? More color to them but what will the horns and fleece do?
