Howdy!
I have 2 Nigerian Dwarf x Pygmy goat babies. They are only 8 weeks old now, but we're thinking we'd like to add another pet to the mix. What else would be compatible penned with goats? We were thinking perhaps a potbelly, or smaller variety of pig? There is a petting zoo closing down in our area looking to rehome their potbelly pig. He was bottle raised and for over a year has lived among a menagerie of barnyard creatures (sheep, goats, rabbit, donkeys, etc.). He is very sweet & friendly.
In your opinion, would he cohabit well with my goats? Would it be a terrible idea to pen a pig and goats together? Should I wait until my goats are grown, or are there advantages to adding someone new while they're still young? If not a pig, what other specied should we consider? These are just pets, not used for anything.
