We bought a boar of unknown breed or cross, which we assume is the case, a cross. We have people asking what breeds our young pigs are that we are selling. We know the sows are a Berkshire and Hampshire cross. But we have no clue what Spot, or boar could be. Any ideas? Could there be some glaucestershire old spot, Idaho pastured pig, tamworth in him? To me he has the size and spots of the Gloucestershire, the hair of the Idaho pastured pig, and the shape of Tamworth. He’s a huge boar. He’s at least 750-800#. He’s not even two years old. The place we bought him from had HUGE solid white/pinkish hogs that had humped backs and resembled a VW Bug car.

IPPs only reach about 350, maybe 400 tops for boats from what I’ve read. I have visited one farm near me that has had some for a few years and that was what they said also. I liked the tri color ones, they had a couple blondes too.
