what do i feed them

I am looking into buying a 6wk old pot bellied piglet, I know they need speacial mini pig feed, but what do I feed them when they are this young?

Also when he gets older can he eat alfalfa pellets, always have tons of that around?

I'm assuming you are talkin a Mini Pot. If he is already weaned from mommy you can feed Mazuri Mini Pig Youth. If he wont eat you may need to use a milk replacer to egt him going.

I got my little boar when he was weeks old, and he ate the mini-pig food just fine. You want to let them eat as much as they want at this age----has nothing to do with how big they will get, they need the food for proper growth. I wouldn't feed alfalfa pellets as a main food----they should mainly get mini-pig food, with some fruits and vegies as a treat once in awhile. Scraps and such can make them obese.
