What kind of beetle is this?

    Saw this beetle the other day. Does anyone know what kind of beetle is that?

    My guess is a Broad Necked Root Borer except for the raised spots on it's back. The ones I have seen had smooth backs.

    I agree with you. Though those spots were dew drops though?

    I think the spots might be dew drops. But what's the sharp part on the back?
