Hi all,

thinking of butchering a couple of parrotbeak goats. They're Nubians, and are 3 months old, and weigh about 50 - 60 pounds.

I don't want to wait too long, but I don't want to do it when they're too small either. What poundage on the hoof?

Thanks,

DonnaBelle

we butchered ours at 80 pounds live weight, the meat was excellent, but we wished we would have waited until 100 pounds (to get more meat)

Thanks, RTG, I was thinking 100 lbs, in order to make it worthwhile. Our local butchers charge by the goat. One is $50.00 the other is $65.00.

I appreciate your imput ladies.
