Please from those who have been raising rabbits for a long time what are the things you have handy in your medical kit for your rabbits? Stuff you keep on hand in case a problem arises? Thank you

Small sharp scissors for cutting hair away from any wounds
Gauze for covering wounds
Vet wrap for covering the gauze
small sticks for splints if necessary
Triple antibiotic
Superglue (it was originally designed as surgical glue)
Hydrogen peroxide
Betadine
Q-tips

Basically your household medical kit. For rabbit specific additions:

PenG for bacterial infections (Vent disease) (although, only buy it if you need it)
Ivermection horse wormer (apple flavored gel) for ear mites.
Panacur

Those should be bought when needed since they have expiration dates and won't be needed all the time.

And keep the link to the online Merck's Veterinary Manual handy.

Thank you so much! Want to be able to treat small stuff at home although I have a vet when serious problems arise. I have saved that link for quick reference. Super helpful!

Add bone meal to your list of things to keep around the house. And an eye dropper. That's only if you're breeding rabbits, though, if it's just a pet rabbit, then no need.

The bone meal is to make emergency bunny milk in case you have baby bunnies that need to be fed since that's the only ingredient that you aren't likely to have in your kitchen, The eye dropper to feed them once you make the baby bunny milk. Warm it to blood warm but no hotter to feed them.

Here's the baby bunny milk recipe:

We've used it successfully although the best plan is to have the mum bun take care of the babies if possible.
