I am thinking that we should start seeing green grass around March? I live in Oklahoma.

I am hoping that I can send in some soil samples once it dries out...

Maybe...depends on what kind of grass you have.
I am about 350 miles south of the Tex/Oklahoma border and I have been seeing a bit of green bahia and even some bermuda grass for about 3 weeks but other than constant cloudiness and a lot of rain, I can't say we've had any kind of real winter at all.
Your buffalograss should already be showing up, if your location is anything like around Elk City Ok.
It will look kinda like this:

At first, it's going to be mostly water with little nutritional value. Don't stand close behind ruminants grazing new spring buffalograss...horses either.

I'm in southern Indiana and it's starting to turn green here.

If it weren't so soggy, I'd have already mowed my lawn.

I am seeing some green pop up but we got snow Sunday morning and nightly temp in the single digits... I am ready for some warm sunny weather.
