I must have found the goat threads, got excited, and not scrolled down low enough to see this section.

A late "Howdy" from Indiana. My husband, 17 year old daughter, and I have a small goat and chicken farm.
We're transplanted town folk who've been doing our best for 15 years to not let it show. ;)
I started out at the "old" BYC wayyy back when.

My first love was Nubian goats, but our Oberhasli are really starting to try to take over their spot as my favorites.
We also raise Boer (gotta have what people want if you're going to profit) and Toggenburgs, and we have one Snubian and a few Kiko / kiko cross does in our production herd.
We tried pygmies once, but decided to stick w/ the bigger goats.
To spice up the Boer herd I bought a few black FB's last year, and have been pleased w/ the colors in kids we've had.

We don't show (I just can't get into it) but I sell to a lot of folks who do.
This year we delivered 55 kids over a 4 month period, and we are currently drying everyone off so we can start breeding again in July for December kids.

We have 3 LGD's, 3 house dogs, too many cats, and other strange and assorted house pets.
I am loving this forum. Is it too soon for a group hug yet??
