    Paris is my snake killer. She hates them. This one is a rat snake that made the mistake of getting in the chicken coop. She has killed copperheads too.

    Sure is strange looking! Like a giant louse-looking thing with a shell :idunno

    That is odd, never seen anything like it. I wonder if it is like the crabs that grab bits of sponge and attach it to their shells for camouflage. Maybe this bug does something similar?

    I found out what this bug is!
    Contacted the Insect Identification (website) people and sent them a few pictures...they said it's a Green Lacewing larva.. @Bruce you were right! It disguises itself with things it finds around it...dirt, sand etc. At least now we know ha ha :D 101_1010.JPG
