Showing one time per year was enough to knock me out ! Good luck, you guys must run like a well oiled machine.
More like mass chaos with 10 goats and four human kids, the oldest being 11. Lol.

In the youth show Ruby got first in her class and reserve best of breed. One day fresh, second freshening, with babies nursing freely.

Orchid got first in class dry, and very pregnant.

Other goats did well, but they did best.

In the open show Ruby got third in class. The judge had her placed first above two does that compete at the National level- then moved her to third. But, she said they were the closest placings in the breed and by a few points. We figure we will try to beat them in 3 weeks at the state fair when she has more milk and looks even better.

We made it! Whew.

Kids did great. Goats did well. Aravis got first in class in the youth show. Other goats did well. Our State Fair is ADGA and very competitive. We did meet Jnells, OFA, very nice people.

Photos: C (5.5) showed In open and Peewee showmanship. He's very serious about goat showing!

G (3) likes to kiss his "show-ship" goat Magn.

My daughter (green jacket) with her two black Lamanchas and a friend helping with second. Then, with Nim her 12 day fresh grade Lamancha Nim. Her udder is small, but her attachment, shape, and teat placement are amazing! She also got first in showmanship, but he placed ~10 of the 43 kids in first- then placed the first four put of that and she wasn't in that group. But, it's her first year in the 11-14 group and she's usually the youngest one- so that's awesome! Just being in the ring for over an hour for that huge showmanship class was pretty intense. The seniors had almost 50 and were in for two hours.

There were 500 goats at the show. It's never been that big!

We've had two shows so far (oct/nov) and the crazy Florida show season starts for us in just over a week.

One in January, the State fair in Feb, along with another ADGA Nigerian only show two weeks later. We have a one day show every weekend in March- all ADGA except one. One is a Nigerian specialty. Then, a local-ish youth fair that pays well in April. We also have five goats due by March starting next week.

Clipping starts Saturday for my daughter and I need to get the camper cleaned out.

Time to go into survival mode!
Where are the Florida shows?
