So, we were sending in two blood samples to biotracking for some pet Nigerian does that we were given (both CAE neg, yay!) so we decided to send in pregnancy tests for the Nigerian we purchased bred (to confirm) and the two yearling Lamanchas that we didn't think settled. One, Prissy, I was on the fence about since she seemed to have a mild heat after her second confirmed breeding. She's due in early Feb. The other, Nim, is due in January, is still thin (Saanan/Lamancha cross), no udder, so I was pretty sure she wasn't bred. Surprise of the surprises- they were all three positive.
I still can't believe that Nim is bred. It's also a good thing that I didn't bet my daughter since I would have lost big time.
So, we have 5 due in two months- mid Jan through early March. Crazy times!
Then, hopefully we will have the two Nigerians we just got due in late May. Then, I'm taking a long break until September/October.
