he's still nursing - should I let it be or do something? If I should, what should I be doing? He's been castrated already, and we are keepinghim

It's up to you what you want to do. It won't hurt him or his mom to continue.

I let Mom ween her last doe. She nursed for about 6 months.
Mom and daughter are both doing great.

He is plenty old enough to be weaned if you want. I've found that given a choice, my does will not ever wean their kids, I sold a doe a few weeks ago that was two years old and still trying to nurse on any udder she saw.

I had a wether named Trouble this year too. :)
