I love to read... westerns, "romance" , mysteries, even history books.... NOT HORROR...

Favorite as a younger kid..... Bobbsey Twins series... Trixie Beldon stories.
Then any of the Black Stallion series... anything by Walter Farley...
Black Beauty, and also the My Friend Flicka series.....
Also one of my favorites was by Jo Sykes... The Black Mare... I think it was her first book, written in the early 1960's.... wrote several more about horses... Good clean stories... Hard to find.

No offense as I think you are probably in your teens... "Mature OLD People" like me would like different things than you would read now...

I remember reading that series, it's been around for a while.

I'll read almost anything, but like @farmerjan I don't like horror. I also don't care for anything paranormal, or with graphic sex or violence. I just want to read a story.

I read all the Walter Farley books, too, and horse stories by Marguerite Henry (Misty), Glenn Balch (Tack Ranch), and almost anything with animals.

I like Louis L'Amour's books, entertaining.

I also like some SciFi, but more cerebral stuff. My favorite author is CJ Cherryh, am reading one of her doorstop volumes currently.

I love to read, started reading when I was 4 years old. I’ll never forget, in second grade the teacher passed out books and told the class to read the first story. I did, then the next and the next and finished the whole book as my mom drove up in our carport after picking me up from school. Next morning I laid the book on teacher’s desk and asked for another book.
She looked confounded and told me, “You were only supposed to read the first story.”
Me, “I did and I finished the book. Can I have another book?”
Teacher, “No, that book is for the whole year.”

From that moment on, school was incredibly boring.

Now most of my reading is on the internet on subjects I find interesting and want to learn more, in detail. And I NEVER run out of something to read.

I love to read, and I like Westerns or contemporary books as long as they are clean. Don’t mind suspense but don’t like horror or anything “steamy”. I prefer to read stuff I’d be comfortable reading out loud to Jesus 😂
Some of my favorites are CJ Petit. They are free if you have Kindle Unlimited
