I was over shipping and receiving for a machine shop once. It was interesting and kept me busy.
My last job was purchasing, inventory, and environmental quality for a garbage company.

If your concern is the sneaky weasel, then ask that lady if she had problems with him, if so, how did she handle it?
Would she be training you, for how long?
Would he be your boss?
Who does he answer to?
People like him use their position over others to make themselves feel big and powerful. In reality, he is a sniveling weakling. Get your bluff in.

Started at 7 this AM. Picked up the hoses & such to get ready to mow.
Mower made it almost out of the barn yard before dying. Pushed it back up to the barn. It sounded like a dead battery, so hooked up the charger & went to weed the asparagus bed.
30mins later the needle hadn't moved....
Ugh.... helps to plug the charger in!!!!
Did that & it read as good but left it & weeded 2 other beds anyway.
9am tried to start it... nope. Fuel system????? Filter looks old & a little gunky.... change into a 'be seen in public' top & off to T S.... leaving the gas to drain into a bucket.
New filter, some Mechanic In A Bottle & fresh gas... started up..... ran like a 2-legged pig.
Left it coughing & sputtering and went in to get a giant iced coffee & my headphones...... if the music is loud enough it doesn't matter if the mower is running rough, right?
Several false starts, lots of chugging & gasping & sputtering (the mower, not me) and the mowing is done! Barn yard, driveway, backyard, front yard, pasture edges and all. This used to take a whole weekend with the push mower. Chugging or not, I'm still loving the riding mower.
2pm , 90something degrees, enjoying that coffee & watching the chickens do their thing.
Going in soon .... NEED a shower & I forgot to eat the AM
All in all.... still a good day

Good for you!

I was going to run the mower for 15 minutes, something, anything, but it's just too hot, heat index 106°. I was drenched just checking on the chickens.

Wonderful, slow, relaxing weekend with my sister. We made taco salads & watched Reacher Fri evening. Then slept late, went to thrift stores, had a great lunch at Tazikis Mediterranean resturant Sat. Sun AM was another slow morning with ice cream for breakfast (oatmeal soaked in cream with banana & frozen blueberries blended smooth with a bit of splenda & vanilla ).

Shd left a couple hours ago. Me & the cats are enjoying a nice, easy summer afternoon rain storm right now.

Those weekends are hard to come by. Glad it happened.

Storms & heavy downpours all night Mon night. The emergency alerts sounding off on phones all night.
Had to backtrack a few times to find a way home around all the closed roads. I was worried about the creek & bridge on my driveway; and although there is signs of high water, it was fine when I got home. Thundering again, more storms tonight.

Good grief. Nearly every day for the past 2 weeks. Like much of the eastern half of the country, I'd love a little break in the humidity & nightly rain.

Last night it was 74° at 4am, with 95% humidity.
