Well, whatever it is, hopefully I will talk to someone tomorrow. I have had 1 UTI in my life that I know about. Treated and it went away... never had anything like this except as a teenager when it was "my time of the month".... backaches, cramps the whole nine yards...
Never had an kidney stones like my son has had... guess I have been fortunate... but these backaches and joint aches have been rough the last week/10 days. Maybe it is the :old:old:oldcatching up????

Today, Sun aft... not near as bad as they were... KNOCK ON WOOD....

Been sunny and humid, 67 overnight but up to 92... clouds and thunder again in the north... Radar shows might get some this evening.

Going to pack samples here in a little bit so they are ready to go out tomorrow... If I feel like this tomorrow, I am going to try to test after all. It is alot better than when I got home last night.

Might go in and make some custard I think. Didn't do much of anything today except to get my bills/finances all up to date... I keep a "graph" with what is due, by due dates, all that... and update it as the new bills come in... several regular auto payments like the wi-fi and bc-bs supplement stuff like that...Update it 2-3 times a month just to keep track of things...
My bc-bs supplement just went up $20/mo... my mtg had gone up due to the taxes and all that... they have to keep a certain % to make sure it gets covered.. then it went back down a little... I try to "budget for it high anyway... but I like to keep an accurate record...
Plus to see what the investments are doing... I think I have mentioned that my credit union pays 5% interest on their checking account if you use the debit card 15 times a month for at least $250.... so I have a couple of the autopays set up on the debit # .... With the farm money, I keep the max balance they will pay on, in my personal checking and get a nice interest deposit every month... pay interest up to 25,000.... that's around $100+ a month "free" money...... Plus my American express and Capital one cards also offer savings accounts with interest rates in the upper 3.5+% range... with no withdrawal times etc like a CD does tie up your money... You play the games a little and get some free interest money from them too....most cd's are 6 months with interest rates in the 4% range... but that money is locked in for that 6 months...
It doesn't cost anything for my credit union checking account and there are 2 other banks around here that are offering the same deals with using the debit card so we keep farm money in them to earn the interest also...the cattle checks have been big, but then the farm payment, paid once a year, is huge.... so might as well have it making a little interest while we wait to make the payment... scattered out it helps to earn more interest overall... I'll take $50-100 month free interest from the banks just from using their debit cards...

Time to go out and check on chickens... get the hoses in the car for tomorrow's herd... get the bottles in the racks to take and get the samples packed... Then tomorrow I will see how I feel in the morning...

Also, @fuzzi .. read the article on the Vit K ... and it's symbiotic relationship to Vit D... interesting... and by strange chance, I was on the phone doing some stuff while waiting at one of DS's dr appts.... and some ad popped up about Vit K and a company called Oceans Organic or something like that. Now, I do all my BYH and stuff on the home computer... so not like it could track me on the phone... but am going to try the combination with Vit K as there are other things it is supposed to help with. And I drink a fair amount of milk, so some of that calcium could be causing some of the problems with absorption .... I know I have never had my Vit K levels checked...
So, thanks for the tip.....info....

Monday... hung 2 loads of clothes because it is another "possible storms this afternoon" which we have not had any here the last 2 days... but they got a good soaking 25 miles north and lots south and east of the blue ridge mtns... just goes around us here in this part of the valley...

So you know it will rain this afternoon while I am testing...:rolleyes::th:th

Samples packed, bottles in racks for this afternoon. Going to go early, take my time to set up... see how it goes.
No call from dr office yet...
And of course, I cannot take any vit or anything for 48 hours before the bone density scans. So, back to nothing for the next couple of days...

Going out to put the hoses in the car, I didn't do that last night... then leave. It is already in the mid 80's... hit 91 when sun hit the recorder... muggy out. Oh well, another normal July day.

We've had flooding all around, 30miles or so north, west & south. My sister & I drove through a blinding downpour Sat but not a drop here. It clouds up, wind picks up, leaves & sticks fall... but no more than a brief shower.
I stood in the yard the other day & watched it rain in the chicken yard no more than 15yards away. Summer storms in VA are fascinating.

Pretty amazing. I remember in high school - forget what class - we played a game (actually several times) that showed how localized things can be - rain, wind, etc and how it effected farming. Made a real strong impression on me. I can only hope it did the same for others.

We're in the "Red Sea" pattern: storm front sweeps into eastern NC, then parts when it reaches our county, goes north and south.

I watered the flowers this evening.

We're in the same pattern... We might get 10 sprinkles... we got .1 last night... not enough to do anything positive for us.

Had another couple of trying days... I am too tired to sit and put it on paper... maybe tomorrow ???? Need a shower, wash hair, pack samples from this evening... different herd than I planned (another "story") :he:duc:duc... do computer work for this evening's farm since I didn't take computer since it was last minute... have to do turkeys and chickens in the morning as I was just too beat this eve.... drop off meters for tomorrow's farm, drop off samples, go to bone density scan thing... come home get changed and go back to work... at least they set them up... and my back etc is STILL aching... and no call back from the dr office... :somad:somad.....

Friday.... I hurt everywhere. and now attribute it to a flu bug... maybe all the aching was it trying to "take over" and I kept fighting it off. But I wound up changing herds around again... and got home last night from testing at nearly midnight... and I guess it was too much (tested wed eve/thurs morning also)..... and my body said QUIT... I ache everywhere... and then this afternoon I couldn't keep food down... so it is probably a flu bug that finally got ahold of me... we will see. At least I did the herd last night that I was going to do Sat eve... so have a couple days off. Supposed to test Mon aft/Tues morning... and if I feel crummy, I'm not going... Farmer says he needs to test those days as he is going away for a couple days... if I can't then tough..... I managed to get the samples packed and took to UPS.... and barely could walk when I got out of the car.... luckily it was only 1 box... 50 samples.... but they wanted some Johne's tests done so did not want to hold them over. They are gone on the truck this eve and will get tested on Monday for the farmer.

I am going in to get a hot shower, and see if I can get some sleep....

Haven't had an aching "flu bug" like this in a long time.... everything hurts...

Did the bone density scan the other day when I just had the backache...seems I did have one about 5 years ago... just before the ankle replacement... don't remember it, but that was when covid was starting to come up... I had the surgery on Feb 6 2020.... out of nursing rehab on Feb 19th... they shut down the country within 2 weeks... so it was not on the radar.... They pulled it up on my records... which is fine...

I will be on here when/if I feel better .....
