💗🐝Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!🐝💗

Having been raised up in the days of encyclopedias with the yearly update book, to the age of I-Phones, I feel like my grandmother must have felt being born and growing up with no electricity to the man walking on the moon.

I still have the 1956 set of World Book encyclopedias that my parents bought when I was 2 years old. I was fascinated by the color pages of the birds. I would get the B book and carefully study those brightly colored pages, never tearing a page or coloring on it. I read those books A to Z.

I remember those well!! Browsing and looking at picture as a little kid, then using them for school reports when I was older.

I read those encyclopedias from cover to cover. I learned to read when I was 4 years old, and just couldn't get enough. I'd get in trouble because I had a book laying next to my plate when we ate supper.
That's really awesome! That's how my oldest is, he still reads all of the time! 💗

I read all the Golden encyclopedias, over and over.

I had a library card in Longview at just a couple of years old. We moved away when I was 8 years old. Many years later as an adult I was living in Longview again. I went to the library and was telling the ladies how my mother took me to the library as a child and how I was reading at age 4. Those ladies looked up my library card and reissued the same one to me! How cool is that!
