It was Nora with the twins. A white ram with freckled legs and the saddle blanket is a ewe. Nova is coming up, they usually lamb within a few days of each other, sometimes consecutive days. I scrapie tagged them, plus Tiny’s brown ram.

Saturday evening while I was doing chores, it came a cloudburst. I was in a pen, about to run to the house, but there was a baby lamb crying. It was Nora's one day old ram lamb, in the pouring rain, by the hay bale and Mom nowhere in sight. I was about to go in the pen to put him in the Quonset hut with Nora, when she came to the rescue. Ok, now I can run to the back porch. My son and I stood there watching. Nora had the saddle back brown spot ewe lamb following her, she nuzzled the ram lamb and the ewe lamb. The ram lamb quit crying and Nora SLOWLY walked them to the Quonset hut, stopping along the way to nuzzle her babies, and finally into the hut they went.

I had to leave at 8:00 this morning to have SIL at PT at 9:15.
Mango had a single! I closed her on the small night pen and closed the other ewes out of the big pen.

Picked up SIL took her to therapy. Afterwards I had to get gas, got her cigarettes, stopped and got fried chicken and took her home. I got home after 11. Called a feed store and I could go get 5 pallets, so I did. Got home at 1:30. I dragged out pallets, got t-posts and driver and hay string. I dumped 3 front end loads of dirt, raked it out and stood up T-posts, tied pallets to horse panel at the back, drove posts and tied pallets to posts. I scrounged up half hog panels and one whole one and made a small run. I got Mango’s lamb and she followed me in the tiny pen.

Out in the field, Ginger was limping pretty bad, she laid down. I called the sheep in, wouldn’t let her in the big night pen, fed ewes in small pen and closed them up. I let Ginger in, shook feed and she followed me to the other new pallet pen. I haven’t checked her out yet, but I wanted her put up so I can feed her and she can just rest and heal up from whatever it is. Leg is sore, she may have sprained it.

No top on the pallet pen jugs yet, I’ll figure out something

Got to get dogs, Max and sheep fed.
