Caleb had an up and down day.

We had a some good walks, and a good afternoon in the backyard. I had him leashed to the fence as I pruned privet suckers and thorny vines that pop up along the fence line. I did that for at least an hour, but probably more.

He liked chewing on the pruned sticks, but cowered when I was holding a couple overhead, near him = someone hit him with sticks in the past.

He also got to sniff around (leashed) while I took care of the chickens. Again, he seemed to enjoy being outside with me.

But he got very mouthy and acted up later on. I think he's still flushing out the pharmaceuticals.

I'm not concerned, I've done similar training before with my GSD/Lab. New to me is Caleb being male, and apparently having some baggage in his past.

We're getting there.

Arnicare comes in PILLS 😱

.... rushing to amazon
When I had knee replacement surgery, I used Arnicare cream on the back of my knee and up to the incision, plus the pills. They lasted 4 hours and took away almost all the pain. I was supposed to take hydrocodone every 6 hours, but only took 7, mostly at night to sleep. The Arnicare worked better.

Good morning. Caleb is definitely more chilled this morning. Responded well to "no kitty", did sit & wait commands properly with minimal correction. After amusing himself with his toys he's taking a nap.

Christmas plush toys are completely gutted, squeakers removed...they're like pelts. :D =D

Too late for this, but I keep Arnicare pills for pain , for me and the dogs. Arnicare pills help with the pain from snakebites, Benadryl for swelling and a baby aspirin.
Be careful with Benadryl. They are now putting xylitol in some forms of it. This is a recent change

Those :rant:somad dogs were back as I was walking Caleb. The big one came straight at me, growling, head lowered, and I sprayed wasp spray at its face. It backed off then came back at me, and I sprayed it again.

Enough is enough. Sheriff has been notified.

Caleb is freaked out again, poor baby.

And they were in my yard before they came down the street after me. Imagine what might have happened with my chickens if my backyard gate weren't closed? If I didn't have wasp spray?
