Coffee anyone ?

Morning everyone! I woke up early today, trying to remember where I had to go and what I needed to do. Then I realized I don't have to go anywhere...whew. Staying home and working on the bathroom. We cut and fit the pieces of underlayment yesterday, we'll be mortoring them in place today. We plan to go to Portland on Thursday to buy the floor tile and other supplies. No tax on goods over there. Should save us a couple of hundred dollars, that we will then use for our hotel stay. Finally getting to have some fun for hubs birthday, now that I'm feeling better.

Yes, that's where we're going. We purchased tile for our last project at the store in Tukwila, but decided to make a fun trip out of it and not pay taxes in Portland.

I agree, it doesn't make sense to shop in Vancouver and pay tax. Weird that they put a store in there.
 
Hubs has used F&D for decades in his construction biz. He used to drive from San Jose to Roseville to get their selection. Good company. Wave at the homeless around there. They are the one's I take old canned goods to. They always say thank you!!

Oh, and there is a Lowes there too. Surrounded by the same homeless waiting in line at the Bottle Drop, but there is security. I also go to the Chef's Store and Restaurant Depot there, next to Lowes.
 
Slow start to our morning. Hubs is in the kitchen making something. I ask him if he needs help with anything? He says, "no, I've got it", I say, "you don't need me?", his response, "well, maybe to clean up my mess when I'm done), me, (that sounds about right), him.... laughter... :gig 💗

We really like the store too, so many choices.

I was trying to find a Lowe's store near there, but it wasn't coming up. We have some other supplies to pick up. Good to know, thank you.

Good afternoon all!
Coffee's brewing. Got the email confirmation that the new insurance is active and good to go. Getting ready to head out soon and go get hay now that the rains are over for a bit. Will call the "old" insurance company and FIRE them before I get on the road. I'm so glad this will be the end of this nonsense.
Didn't get anything noticeable packed last night. Kind of in a rut I guess. With the trailer not being ready to be loaded yet I guess the drive to get things packed isn't there.
Not sure what else is on today's agenda.

Hope everything goes smoothly. They should know how bad they messed up, but will they admit it.
