Have a safe trip to CA! I'm not going to say home, since that's where you're traveling from.I went into the license office today and she said I did have the proper plate. She said it specifically says it's legal on my registration and no matter what plates I got for the weight I can be hauling I'd only have on on the front. So I guess I'll be getting pulled over a lot until I'm permanently in MO. I find it hard to believe other states law enforcement knows MO laws.
Thanks. I'm learning. Our new insurance gal has been helping me along. Definitely need to do some better prepping once we are actually here and make a way to get to the shelter from in the house. If not for the day to day access then just for storms. We'll get it figured out. It's definitely a learning curve.
Thank you. I'm having supper with our insurance gal (who's becoming a friend) and then I'll be hitting the road. Informed the tire shop I'll be there mid day and they guarantee'd me my tires are reserved and waiting. Going to be a long trip back but at least I'm empty this direction. A LOT of construction basically the entire way back though which will be miserable.

Home today. Need to get one vehicle in for oil change, once I decide which I'm driving tomorrow. Both need it -- one today, one next week. After 2 tanks filled, I'm feeling the $175 gas bill 
Makes you want to tighten up. I'll try to keep the bank account out of a heart attack.
Having lovely coffee this morning. Just opened a new bag, although container of other wasn't empty. I'd bought Maxwell house, on sale, which I haven't used in a long time. Good but, no taste kick & won't buy again. So will lightly mix it with one I like for a while to use up. Waste not. Enjoying today's brew.
Worked 3 long days, Tue-Thur, and today prepping for tomorrow's meet up at Gilmanor trade day.
Making sure things are ok for early leave with no chores before going -- yep, up & out, just coffee for company. Drive a couple hrs, visit a couple hrs, drive home. It's fun & relaxing actually. Love a face to face visit! It's not that far, distance wise, 106 miles, but the first half of route is on a good road, just a lot of slow down little towns along the way. Last half is 70mph suggested...

It"s Friday!!!!! Which means track meet day!
Different type of work day today, and that's fun.
Wow, nothing else to report on. It's a little cold, but that's normal for here, especially this time of year.

Finishing up coffee. Got the feed tubs and water buckets yesterday, and today ..... the lambs move into the new digs!! This should be fun. I'll weigh them first. Obi and Zo will be happy to have the job. Light overcast to start with, 58-76 forecast with of course sun.
Went to the Graze event sponsored by the Farm Bureau - fun night. Lots of little tastes - different avocados, oranges, some beef and some pork - everything local. There was something that was just a bite - but put on a pork rind - very yummy. And freebies - plants - chives, pepper, and eggplant, then two really nice house plants - hmm I don't have and house plants so got two a spider plant (I think) and I think a baby rubber plant?? AND a little baby cactus with a purple flower. Our county grows a lot of houseplants that are shipped nationwide. Like the cactus -- one of if not largest grower in the US -- all those cute little cactus you buy at the store and the ones that have a colored one growing on the top -- some probably come from one of the greenhouses I can see from my house. ROTFL I used to have tons of house plants but really hardly have had any since we moved to Cali eons ago.

Counting my many Blessings, On this day in 2024 we were in the ER for 9 hours, PTL I have have been given my DH for 2 more years. It has been a very stressful 2 years. We are still not treating him with traditional oncology. I know he is in the Lords hands and I say yes Lord to what ever comes and put my trust in Him, but my heart is still ,,, heavy.
Its still very cool in the morning [49] for A.M. coffee on the porch BUT, soon it will be just right
I'll be outside all day, weed and seed and move garlic and add/ sprinkle Territorial's Complete Fertilizer since I am out of finished compost. and then mow in the garden grass. I got the yard mowed last evening.
DH started the greenhouse, so I'll help him as he needs.

Once I'm done with all the fertilizer that I've hoarded these last three years, I'll check out Territorial's fert. I get my seeds from them.
