My Messy Life - Journal

So, after a little more research. Paper wasps are usually more aggressive than hornets. But, hornets will attack in a swarm if they feel their nest is threatened.

You might want to have your hubs help you with this. Get it while it's still small.
We have an awful time with European paper wasps here. They are extremely aggressive and don't let up once they hone in on you. I go on weekly night raids for them suckers. At night is the best time. They are all home and slow moving. They love to nest in the squeeze chutes, under the roof tin on the house and in all the farm implements. They even like finding way's into engines. It's regular to go to fuel up a truck to find a new nest behind the fuel door. We fill every pipe and hole we can in with foam every few years to lesson the load of them. Picture an old western stand off. Double cans of spray in hand. A flashlight and old western music playing. Ching. Ching. Ching of the spurs walking up to them duel style. Ok maybe not quite so dramatic but it's what I picture every time the hunt is on. Sometimes sniper style depending on where the nests are at. :idunnoMaybe I should invest in a gilly suit. I dislike wasps very much.

Great visual!!!

Yesterday I sold three of last year's lambs and today someone texted to say they want the other two. :celebrate Hopefully that second person also follows through. Then I just have a bottle baby to sell.
DH and I did talk about all the new lambs, though. I'll consider selling more of them once they're weaned. We got 9 pairs of twins out of 10, though one twin didn't make it. Singles from the other two ewes. That's a lot of meat! We probably don't need that many for the freezer so we'll sell some. I'll see how they're growing out and then decide.

Make sure you get rid of every single one so you don't take them to your new home. I'm sure your neighbors would appreciate it.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I hate them. As were loading the trailer each time I have to go through the trailer (climbing on boxes etc) every few nights to kill new nests they are building on the inside of the roof of the trailer. I have news for the paper wasps, there are some HUGE wasps at the new place. I don't think they'd stand a chance.
