I’m not kidding about spiders. Found a big one and asked Hubbs if it might watch sheep. He said yes but thought it would be crap on a recall.

I hate red wasps! They are mean! I took out a bunch last year with wasp spray.
Sorry you got stung. But, die you bastards...I got hammered by copper colored wasps coming out of a dessert plate sized nest tucked into a saucer light over my barn door. Got six solid stings on the scalp and a couple in my arm. The meat tenderizer really helped. A trick I’ve used to discourage wasps is ball up a Walmart or other plastic bag and hang it near potential nesting areas. Make it big and scribble hornet silhouettes on it. Also pencil in helpful slogans- die you bastards etc. A big bag of with the angry red eye of Sauron is currently guarding my hoop house. Just hope no nasty big spiders are lurking.
I need to try the tenderizer for when my ungrateful wenches sting me! Do you get it wet?

Same overcast, off/on rain again today. Happy for rain but, overcast is annoying after several days. 
being in drought ain't fun tho!! At least it's soaking in, not running off. Going to job today and that makes it all a non issue

Forecast calls for rain. I know we need it.
Got a quick run in this morning, need to head to the hardware store before work for the thing I forgot last week. Two weeks until we're done. Then I'll go work a summer job at a restaurant.

A WONDERFUL rain all day yesterday.
I went out at 5am, ticked my broody hen off, Today is day 21---
I put each egg A, B, E, [ she smashed C, & D] to my ear. and then put the super bright flashlight under and candled them.
B, I could hear scratching and looked solid
E, nothing, and I saw a air pocket and dark
A, nothing, and I saw air and what I think was liquid
I think she defiantly has one #B, that will hatch, #E I will give it until Wednesday AM, #A I will leave, watch until Wed.
since she may only hatch one egg, I did have another hen get broody yesterday,, I gave he 8 eggs I think, maybe 7

Overcast this morning, 53-64, trying to be misty out there but won't last. Sit with Kit day yay!
Then off to Target to get the meat tenderizer (and put a note on it to use for stings - thank you for the tip), hit what's left of the dieing mall looking for something to wear to the engagement party for my nephew this weekend in AZ. Not sure I'll find anything, and have absolutely no idea what is "in style" - skirts long or short or??? Sigh clothes shopping not my thing. Oh gawd wonder if I have any shoes for something like that??!!

Broody hatching rates so far this year are 66.7 % (2 of 3) and 75% (3 of 4). Waiting to see if it's 50% or 100% with Hannah (2 eggs).
